This January we held our 3rd Welsh Retail and Leisure Trends Summit on the beautiful Cardiff University campus. We were lucky enough to be joined by panellists who are heavily involved in the world of Welsh retail and regeneration. These experts provided an overview of their vision for the future for Wales’ local businesses and economy.
Below are videos of our panellists, Dr. Eleri Rosier (Senior Lecturer in Marketing and Strategy at Cardiff Business School), Beverly Owen (Strategic Director for Place at Newport City Council), and Simon Baston (Founder and Managing Director of LoftCo.) answering the following questions:
- What were your takeaways from WISERD's and LDC's latest Welsh report on retail and leisure?
- Looking ahead, what do you see as the most significant opportunities for Wales and what are your predictions for the next 12 months?
Dr. Eleri Rosier – Senior Lecturer in Marketing and Strategy, Cardiff Business School
Eleri spoke about her current initiative – the Cardiff University Community Gateway project dedicated to building partnerships with Grangetown residents.
Beverly Owen – Strategic Director for Place, Newport City Council
Beverly discussed a master plan designed to strengthen Newport’s position within the Cardiff Capital Region.
Simon Baston – Founder and Managing Director, LoftCo.
